Pick up Amman hotel or residence and drive 1.5 hours to Wadi Mujib Reserve, the lowest nature reserve in the world. Here you will do the self guided Siq Trail following a water stream deeper inside the cool canyon. Depending on your fitness level you can scramble along small waterfalls, but the farer you get the higher the water, sometimes up to shoulders. Along the Dead Sea drive to a beach with showers and lockers. With 400 meters below sea level, the Dead Sea is the lowest point on earth, where ever since the days of Herod the Great, people have flocked to in search of its curative secrets. For the visit of the Siq Trail in Wadi Mujib you have to have shoes and trousers ready for change; changing rooms are existent. A waterproof bag for the camera is recommended.
The admission fee to Dead Sea Beach does not include a towel. You can bring your own towel or rent one on spot for a small fee.
